Frocktober 2013 Day 28 - The home stretch

With only four days left of Frocktober, it's time to say good-bye to my trusty five faithfuls.

You're doing the math and saying, 'baby brain must be getting you, how will you do five dresses in four days?'. One day may just be a combo or a costume change. Wait and see.

Today was swimming and reprogramming. So Mini Me is lounging in a jumpsuit

What's reprogramming? It's getting back to basics - self-settling, schedules, tough love, less outings, less stimulation, more quiet play - to get Mini Me to sleep better during the day. Yes, I should be thankful she's a great night sleeper. But I'm afraid her cat napping and bad day sleeping habits will creep into my dream night sleeps.

Let's get back to frocking.

I wasn't going to pull out the trusty white dress, but it is perfect for swim day, plus we had to say good-bye. That's why it is an uninspiring combination today (sorry I had a different outfit when this brainwave for posts came and this is all I could throw together).

So long whitey

I am surprised at how versatile this white dress was. It worked for casual days, sick days, skinny days and fat days. You can dress it up and dress it down. It's summery and wintery. It blends and layers... it is the ultimate mum-restyling dress.



My favourites are outfit 4, 5 and 6

Would I wear it again soon? Probably, but maybe without as much effort as I had this month. I doubt I'll ever put a dress under a skirt again for a while, if ever. That is unless a stain appears on the bottom half and I can't be bothered getting changed. Just chuck something over it may be my new mum clothing mantra. You get more wears out of it before you wash it.
