These were the things I looked for when choosing our Pemberton accommodation.
Lavender & Berry Farm did not disappoint. The rammed earth chalets are cosy and have everything you'd need - wood fire, TV and DVD player, radio with iPod connector and fully equipped kitchen. However, no oven.
Sitting among the trees, atop a hill, are four chalets with a view of the dam that separates the accommodation from the farm and café. Every morning watch the kangaroos graze or the friendly dogs that come say hello. Be careful as you enjoy your morning cuppa as two fearless ducks waddle quickly over looking for some food.
Every day one of the owners brings you a breakfast basket with fresh eggs from their chickens, homemade jam from their farm, butter, milk, Weetabix and bread.

And the hot water system - awesome. I'm fussy about my showers. These were hot with enough water and pressure to wash your hair. Obviously it's not unlimited, but it's not stingy either.
The café has a playground for kids, the shop sells ice-cream, homemade jams, soaps and other lavender/berry products. And I'm gutted I didn't get to try them, but I hear the pancakes are to die for.
The owners and staff are all so friendly and lovely.
As Mini Me grows up I'd like to come back here. It has something for people of any age... Maybe not for a group looking to party though.
