Meet Mini Me

Nine months is a long time in limbo; waiting to meet your new little personality.

Mini Me and me before leaving the hospital

It didn't take long for Mini Me to show she's a lot like me and likes to do things her own way. Breech throughout the pregnancy, she didn't like that we'd decided when she'd come into the world. And so the night before the booked caesarean, she took matters into her own hands.

We'd just had dinner when the cramping sensation stated. I thought I'd eaten too much or my pants were too tight, so off they went. After de-fleaing Fur Child (he had never had fleas until then) and having my own bath, my stomach rippled and a bucket of water was thrown between my legs.

I couldn't deny it anymore. She was coming.
After finishing some chores (I had to hang out the load of washing I put on), we calmly headed to the hospital in a haze of pain. At this point I started my freak out, but thanks to drugs and hey presto.. After an emergency caesarean, eight hours before the planned one, she joined our family.

Hubby was instantly smitten. I think I was still in shock.

But a month later we've gotten to know each other and I think she goes alright. But all mother's think that right?
