No card required - why we love you birthday print

The past two years have been flirty 30s, dirty 30s, murky 30s and hurty 30s. Now even more so with many of my close friends turning the big 3-0.

Trying to keep each gift personal, fresh and new means the ideas are running low.

For Ms Z's milestone birthday she received a '30 sucks' card the day before her birthday. And I was part of the surprise she received at lunch when our fabulous Sydney friend flew in for her special day.

There was still something missing. Ms Z was like most people, nervous about her birthday. But she also felt like she always does nice things for people and never gets anything in return.

To show her how much we appreciate her, us uni girls out together a unique card... A framed print listing the 30 reasons we love her.

Who needs InDesign (well it is a handy program) when you can create this in PowerPoint! 



The hardest part was thinking of short descriptions that were above board.

It was fun trying my hand at design and taking inspiration from the typography trend you can easily google. Once finished, print and frame.

Now what to do for the next 30th....
