Firstly, we didn't really liked each other. Secondly, I spent the date clenching my butt cheeks to make Jane Fonda proud as I held in the contents of my stomach. And finally we were so flat out fitting in life we struggled to fit the dates in.
But as April rocked around life has settled. We're in a good place, which was handy since this was an intimate date that was a little squeezy.
In my wisdom, April was a pampering date. I must've known we'd need the massages after house blitzing and going back to work.
After searching around I settled on Bodhi J in Wembley. I'd been for a pregnancy massage before, loved the service and the price was right too.
It was an early Saturday morning start, but it's never too early for champagne, fruit and chocolate is it?

As we entered the spa room I laughed. The bath we were to share before our massage looked like those pots cannabil tribes used to cook the explorers that unwittingly stumbled into their jungle. It was narrow, but deep. Very cozy for us two big adults. After some fumbling and limbs flying everywhere, and not in the fun way, we were settled, drinking and chatting.
Half an hour came and went quickly and the massage was on. Heaven. Bliss. You've got to love a soothing massage that lulls you into a drooling sleep.
I'm pretty sure very few massage places get a bad rap (don't get me started on those Shen Massages in shopping centres) because the incense, music, mood lighting and rub down all aim to make you giddy. And Bodhi J is no exception. The staff are amazing, the massages heavenly and the level of service is thorough, right until you leave.
We left relaxed, happy and walking on air. Or maybe it was the herbal tea they fed us after that made us chill out man. I did have a hankering for French pastries after though. Hmmm....
