Then Mini Me joined our family.
Before people start to think disconnected mother or say 'make sure you enjoy and cherish this time' (trust I've had both and more), I absolutely adore Mini Me. I stare endlessly at her little expressions and try like a tragic crush to win her affections.
BUT, after years of working, talking and doing what I wanted, my brain is crying out for something, and it's not just sleep.
Blogging seemed like fun, but what to write?
I'm no touchy feely mum with lots of tips. I'm not creative enough to be a pinspiration, but I can borrow an idea with the best of them. The Perth food blog scene is cornered, unless people want to read about expressed milk and Sizzlers.
Then I stumbled on something perfect for me - 101 in 1001.
I love lists. I love challenges. I love winning. I needed a project. Tick. Tick. Tick. Tick.
The concept is simple - create a list of 101 things you want to do in 1001 days. It's long enough to achieve lofty goals (like master a cartwheel) but short enough that you don't make stupid ones, like meet ET.
This blog will keep me honest in finishing these goals, with a few personal adventures thrown in the mix.
After the initial rush of ideas, it took me a week and randomly Googling to come up with 98 goals.
I'm three off. When I find them, watch this space.
In the meantime, here's Mini Me milk drunk after a marathon feed.
